On October 15, 2014 the licensee notified the State of Texas (the agency) over a stolen Thermo Niton device. The device, along with a portable x-ray device, was originally discovered missing from its expected location in a locked cabinet on October 13, 2014. Following an investigation into the location of the missing devices, the licensee affirmed its confidence that “both devices were locked up in a cabinet on Friday, October 10, 2014 and went missing the following Monday morning.” The individual(s) involved in this event are unlikely to receive any exposure. Currently, the investigation by the licensee “is in progress.”
