On October 13, 2014, one of the licensee’s trucks carrying a Troxler portable nuclear gauge was stolen from its parked position off I-95 in Lumberton, NC. The truck was stolen when the driver “stepped away from the truck to speak with the project foreman.” The driver, a licensee employee, contacted the RSO as well as the Lumberton police, after which point the RSO notified the Division of Emergency Management. Within an hour and a half of the theft, the truck was located by the Lumberton Police with the nuclear gauge still “locked and secured” in its metal box inside the truck.
