Customs officers of Koltsovo airport detained 2 batches of wicks intended for gas lamps. The radioactive goods arrived from China by road. After setting off radiation alarms, it was found out that 41 wicks contained thorium-232. The wicks were sent for examination to the regional department of Rospotrebnadzor as of the report date and authorities are still investigating.
