On June 12, 2015, a Troxler model 3400 series moisture density gauge was stolen along with the device user's truck. The device was stored in a locked box in the back of the truck when the user's ex-girlfriend broke in using a copy of the truck keys and stole the truck. The truck was reported stolen on June 13, 2015. On July 5, 2015, police found the truck in a parking lot with the gauge in it. The gauge is now at the licensee's office, where a leak test will be performed.
