CBRN event in Kansas, Junction City area, United States of America on Thu 24th July 2014
24th July 2014
On July 24, 2014 a technician working at a job site with a Troxler moisture/density gauge received a request to drive to another job site. Before driving to the second site, the technician placed the gauge back in its case without shutting or locking it and then placed the case on the tailgate of his truck. At the second job site, the technician was approached by an individual who said he had “observed a yellow case fall off the back of the truck near the Camp Forsythe fire station.” Returning to the fire station, the technician found that the case had been secured by the fire department and still contained the gauge. According to the technician, “the gauge was out of his possession for approximately 8 - 10 minutes.”
