CBRN event in California, Glendale area, United States of America on Thu 17th July 2014

On July 17, 2014, the Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) was contacted by the Byer Geotechnical RSO over a report that a moisture density gauge had been stolen from the back of an employee’s truck while he was working at a construction site outside of Los Angeles. According to the licensee, “The security chains attaching the gauge transportation case to the vehicle were cut.” On July 22, 2014, the licensee found the Gauge “at the same location that it was stolen from.” Although the transportation box received some damage, the gauge itself appeared unharmed.
