On January 7th, 2015, an unknown person(s) stole a Model 3440 Nuclear Density Gauge from the Building and Earth Sciences business at 5045 Miligen Court, Columbus GA. The gauge contains approximately 8 mCi of CS137 and 40 mCi of AM241. The gauge was secured in the back of a truck, inside the facility. The unknown individual(s) who stole the device cut the chains securing the source with bolt cutters. Columbus, GA police were dispatched to the business the same day.
