On April 23, 2015, a small container with a radioactive source was discovered in a landfill in Barrie, Canada. The source was inside a bin, transported by a truck to the landfill, and had a low radiation reading of 10 mSv. A company specializing in the safe containment and removal of radioactive materials was called in and the source has been safely disposed of.
