On January 27 2014, the Maryland Department of the Environment was informed that that an XRF (RMD LPA1) Lead paint analyzer with radioactive source CO57 was stolen from 2611 East Monument Street in Baltimore, Maryland where an inspection was taking place. As two inspectors were leaving the site, they realized they had left the XRF device, and when they went back to retrieve it, it was gone. The device has not been recovered.
