On February 6, 2013, the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office (IPSO) reported that they found radioactive material in a vehicle, which had been towed and impounded by the office. During the investigation, it was ascertained that the briefcase contained a SenoRx GammaFinder II survey meter along with two calibration sources. The first source was CO57, last calibrated on 10/21/2008, and measured at 11.5242 uCi. The second source was also CO57, last calibrated on 10/22/2008m and measured at 1.1419 uCi. The device and two sources belong to Bard Biopsy Systems, located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The licensee had reported the device and sources stolen in 2009. IPSO will be shipping the device and sources to the Philadelphia Police Department, who will then return them to the licensee.
