On February 25, 2015, 10 unsealed radioactive sources were found on the Poitier campus of the Université de Poitiers in France. The sources were stocked in a lab cupboard containing outdated equipment, when a university lab technician found them. The Nuclear Safety Authority (ASN) had requested since 2005 for an inventory of all radioactive sources at the university, and to remove unused sources to send back to their suppliers.
