During a routine check in Haifa port, a container was found emitting radiation. Tests conducted by the Ministry of Environment revealed that the container originated from Judea and Samaria (West Bank) and intended to go to China. It contained iron parts, including an iron rod containing radium and radioactive radiation output. The hazardous material was separated from the rest of the iron and was removed to radioactive waste disposal site.
