McMinn's Asphalt Co., Inc. reported a theft of a Troxler density gauge in 1998. On December 22, 2015, the gauge was found at a storage shed in York, Pennsylvania. Pennsylvania Department of Radiation Protection conducted inspections and determined that the gauge was likely to remain isolated after it was reported stolen. Since Pennsy Supply, Inc. purchased McMinn's license in 2008 and currently have an active license, it took control of the gauge and added it under their license.
