Louisiana State University (LSU) sent a Smiths Detection handheld trace detector to the manufacturer for repairs via common carrier. Following repairs, the device was sent back to the common carrier's distribution center, and according to the common carrier's records was then delivered to 3south LLC, the local distributor for Smiths Detection. 3south LLC has no record of receiving the device, and it has not been located.
