A small amount of Strontium-90 was detected on Aldeburgh beach in Suffolk, England in fall 2015, and a more-than year-long investigation has failed to identify the source of contamination. However, it is thought to have come from a nearby atomic fuel reprocessing plant in Cumbria. The risk to the public is negligible as the amount of material is so minimal.
