On March 14, inspectors of Irkutsk customs detained a citizen of China with radioactive camera lens. The tourist was taking a Irkutsk-Beijing flight. When the tourist passes the customs, the “Janter” detector showed elevated levels of ionizing radiation in passenger's baggage. Irkutsk customs inspectors conducted an additional radiation monitoring and found the radiation came from a Leika camera’s lens. Elevated levels of ionizing radiation came from the removable photographic lens.
