On January 12th, 2017, the officials of the Koltsovo Airport customs detected that there was a parcel whose radiation level is 3 times higher than the average level. This nearly-two-kilogram parcel comes from China that contains 24 plastic cards and 150 mobile phone protective shells.They discovered that the items were contaiminated with thorium-232. The importation of goods containing Thorium-232, into the EU is prohibited. Therefore the dangerous goods were returned to China.
