A radioactive source was found by the Civil Defense Forces on February 7, 2014 in an abandoned industrial building and was collected by the National Nuclear Energy Commission (CNEN) in Cuiabá, Brazil. The CS137 source is considered to be of low radioactivity and was within proper shielding when it was found. This equipment it operates with is used with level meters of packaged products and companies. The investigation is ongoing.
