On July 4, 2013, security at Simferopol Airport in Ukraine caught a man attempting to fly to Moscow, who was carrying a radioactive ship clock. The main claims to have bought the clock as a souvenir while he was vacationing in Sevastopol, Crimea. The clock emitted gamma radiation at over 100 times normal levels. The authorities seized the radioactive clock.
