On December 14, 2013, Georgian border police captured citizens that were carrying Radium-226 in the Democratic Republic of Georgia. The arrested suspects were harboring the radioactive materials illegally at their home, and were allegedly attempting to sell it. The suspects face a sentence of 5-10 years imprisonment.
