An unidentified individual reported found radioactive material in a phone call to the Wisconsin Emergency Management duty officer on February 2, 2013. The individual stated that his mother inadvertently brought home the material, which had come from a donation drop-box. The source was reportedly labeled "Radioactive Tritium", "4 mCi", and "Self-Powered Lighting". On February 4, 2013, state inspectors performed a site visit, wherein they ascertained that the material was two 4 Curie Tritium sources. Self-Powered Lighting said they would reclaim the sources upon the state confirming they are not contaminated.
