An employee of Protex-The PT X-Perts, LLC reported that a portable gauge was stolen from the bed of the employee's truck. The radioactive device containing AM241 and CS137 sources was being kept inside of a transport box chained to the bed of the truck; the chain was cut and the box stolen. The gauge was later found by a security guard next to the dumpster of an apartment complex, and the Phoenix Fire Department was notified and recovered the source. The investigation is now closed.
