A technician for the licensee, Patriot Engineering and Environmental, Inc., took possession of a nuclear density gauge on March 31 2014 for use at a job site the next day. Despite having secured the gauge in the back of his pickup truck with three padlocks and a chain, the gauge was stolen. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police department was contacted and began investigating.
