A Taisei Corporation team reported the loss of a source rod for a geiger counter that had been used in tunnel and embankment construction work since November 2012. The rod contains Cobalt 60 and Californium 252 radioactive isotopes and had been part of a long-term construction project from November 2012 on until it was discovered missing from its storage container on May 27, 2015 at Taisei Corporation's Radioactive Isotope Handling Office in the town of Saho, Japan.
