A source of carbon-14 for use in an experiment was reported missing. The source was injected into two mice who died. The mice, along with the source were placed in a freezer for preservation however the material and the mice were noticed to be missing the next day. It is suspected that they may have been thrown away by people who did not want frozen dead mice in the freezer.
