A sealed Cesium-137 source in a mobile PET imaging lab was lost. The source is believe to have been inadvertently disposed of after returning from a job site. During transit, several items which were improperly secured fell, broke, and were discarded. It is believed the cesium source was among those. Following this discovery of the missing source, the workers conducted a sweep of the mobile lab and detected no increased amount of radiation.
