A radiological source was found at a storage site used by a company specialized in soil cleanup. The source had been out of regulatory control for 17 years. The device contained a sealed radiological capsule with an unspecified isotope, with an activity of 3.7GBq in 1979 and a current activity of 1.6GBq. The device was used for flow rate and waterproofing testing. The device was still intact. It was removed for re-treatment.
