A moisture density gauge containing a radioactive source belonging to Leighton & Associates was stolen from a pick-up truck at a temporary job site on June 3, 2015. The cables securing the gauge to the truck were cut. Upon discovery, the gauge technician immediately contacted the Radiation Safety Officer and the local police. The security measures taken by the company are being reviewed by the Inspection and Enforcement department.
