A licensee lost control of a radiography camera with an Ir-192 source when the employee in possession of it was arrested for driving while intoxicated. The vehicle was impounded with the source and keys left on the center console of the vehicle. The vehicle was secured under surveillance and remained undisturbed in the impound lot for eleven hours. The licensee recovered the source as soon as it was notified about its employee's arrest.
