A lead-paint analyzer containing Cobalt-57 was stolen from a jobsite in Queens, NY. The authorized user had put it down next to his car, gotten distracted, and accidentally left the device behind. When he returned it was gone, though it was recovered a few weeks later when someone contacted the Dept to let them know they had it in their possession.
