A dosimetrist and physicist in Arkon General Medical Center determined that a single I125 seed was missing. After checking the transferring stylet, the sterilized area, and the spot where the seed was, the physicist and dosimetrest were unable to find the missing seed.The licensee believes that the seed most likely was swept up by some surface due to static buildup and was discarded with normal trash.
