At the Borispol airport, a Russian man attempted to enter Ukraine carrying a radioactive compass. It was detected by radiation screening of the luggage of the Moscow - Kiev flight. The man stated he had purchased the compass in Egypt for $50 and was unaware of its radioactivity. The compass had radiation levels five times higher than is normal.
