A 34-year-old man was detained near the village of Dityatki for having brought 320 kg of radioactive metal from the exclusion zone of the Chernobyl power plant on his bicycle. He stored it in the forest nearby and was intending to sell it. The material was seized and is waiting to be taken for proper disposal at a waste plant.
