A 27-year-old Ukranian man was arrested after attempting to violate the Chernobyl exclusion zone. Authorities say the man attempted to remove forest mushrooms from the zone but was caught at a checkpoint after the mushrooms set off radiation alarms. The mushrooms were contaminated with radioactive material and the dose of radiation in them exceeded the norm by 29 thousand times. The manwas detained by police and could face up to 3 years in prison.
