At ca. 9.00 a.m. a deflagration occurred in an auxiliary steam generator while opening the inactive side of the steam generator, located in the turbine hall. Two workers were injured and immediately transported to hospital. The plant is in refueling state since one week. No radioactive release happened. Neither any safety system was involved, no plant equipment was damaged. The injured persons are not contaminated.
Rating explanation:
The event can be rated as out of scale but because of the deflagration in the turbine hall of BWR the event was rated as below scale/zero.
