On 26 June 2024, near Shar Say Chet village (Madaya township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), the Myanmar military launched airstrikes near the village using an Mi-35 helicopter gunship at around 5 pm. A two-year-old child was killed, and three other children, aged between 5 and 8, sustained injuries.
