On 22 November 2020, unknown gunmen targeted a military trainer of Ahrar al Sharqiyah with a grenade in Al Ziyadiyyah area in Afrin city in Aleppo countryside, injuring him and his three children who were with him. The military trainer was displaced to Afrin from the province of Homs. No fatalities were reported.
