On 26 May 2024, in Aung Myin village (Gangaw township, Gangaw district, Magway region), the military (IB-50) fired two 112 mm artillery rounds at around 10 am and both of the rounds landed on two houses in the village. A 60-year-old man, a 30-year-old woman, and a 23-year-old woman were killed, and four other locals, including a 60-year-old woman, a 4-year-old girl, and an 8-month-old child, were injured.
