Around 28 May 2024 (between 27 - 28 May), Houthi forces claimed a cruise missile attack targeting the Minerva Antonia chemical/oil products tanker (IMO: 9380398) in the Mediterranean Sea (coded to North Red Sea) claiming affiliation with companies in violation of the Houthi ban to call at Israeli ports. There were no fatalities or injuries as the missiles likely impacted the water. The attack was not confirmed by other sources. Houthi forces claimed the attack on 29 May without specifying the date of the attack in a statement covering 27 - 29 May. The ship was sailing in the eastern Mediterranean Sea over 27 - 28 May before passing through the Suez Canal.
