On 2 June 2024, Russian warplanes conducted airstrikes in the area of Jabal Omour in the Badia of Homs and the area of Bishri Mountain - Deir-ez-Zor. The Russian Defense Ministry claimed that it had targeted three bases for gunmen who withdrew from the Al Tanf area, coded to an unidentified armed group. Casualties unknown.
