On 26 November 2020, 13 Taliban militants including a shadow district governor were killed by an Afghan military airstrike in the Kokchail (Kok-e-Chayal) area of Ab Kamari district, Badghis. MoD reported that all the victims were militants, while local sources said that the killed were the family members of the shadow governor and not militants.
