On 13 June 2024, between Hkat Shu village and Waingmaw town (coded as Hkat Shu) (Waingmaw township, Myitkyina district, Kachin state), the Myanmar military troops stationed at the Northern Regional Military Command in Myitkyina town fired heavy weapons in the evening, which fell and exploded near the Mote Lwal bridge and killed a 28-year-old woman who was riding a motorcycle.
