On 13 June 2024, a suspected Houthi landmine exploded on a bulldozer on the Taizz - Al Hawban road near Taizz - Wadi al Hawban (Salh) injuring 3 people including the driver and 1 IRG soldier. The landmine exploded during the removal of the sand barriers blocking the road as part of a road-opening initiative.
