On 15 June 2024, the Air Component of Operation Hadarin Daji launched strikes at a Katsina militia's location at Gidan Kare in Ruwan Godiya Ward (Faskari, Katsina). The militiamen were burning some houses around the area (coded separately) when the air force struck them. The strikes killed over 80 militiamen and burned 45 motorcycles.
