On 16 June 2024, in the north of Hin Thar Ywar Thit village (Madaya township, Pyinoolwin district, Mandalay region), unidentified local defense forces carried out a mine attack against about 20 Myanmar military troops at a village cemetery at about 7:30 am as they were patrolling the area around the village. Six military troops were killed.
