On 16 June 2024, Houthi forces claimed a drone attack targeting the Happy Condor LPG tanker (IMO: 9368780) in the Arabian Sea (coded to West Arabian Sea) claiming affiliation with companies in violation of the Houthi ban to call at Israeli ports. There were no fatalities or injuries as the drones likely impacted the water. The attack was not confirmed by other sources. The ship was sailing from France to Qatar through the Cap of Good Hope to avoid the Red Sea. It passed the Cape of Good Hope on 2 June and reached the Strait of Hormuz on 20 June.
