On 17 June 2024, in Hpein Kar village (Ye-U township, Shwebo district, Sagaing region), artillery shells fired by the Myanmar military and Pyu Saw Htee stationed at the Ye-U traditional medicine hospital landed on a rice mill in the village at night. DVB, Mizzima, Myanmar Now, MPA and FRA reported on 18 June that a 40-year-old man was killed, and his 19-year-old daughter sustained critical injuries. Khit Thit Media reported on 21 June that the man and his daughter were killed. Fatalities coded as 2, using the latest update.
