On 17 June 2024, in Nawng Mun village (Hopong township, Pa-O Self-Administered Zone, Shan-South state), a landmine planted by the Restoration Council of Shan State (RCSS) exploded when locals on a motorcycle and a tractor stepped on it on the village road. The motorcycle and a tractor were destroyed. Casualties unknown.
