On 19 June 2024, Israeli warplanes carried out multiple airstrikes targeting the town center in Baraachit town (Bint Jbeil, Al Nabatieh) amid ongoing hostilities with Hezbollah. The Israeli military announced it had struck military infrastructure for Hezbollah. Hezbollah announced the death of one fighter (coded to Baraachit). The circumstances of the fighter's death remains unclear but is likely due to Israeli shelling on south Lebanon amid cross-border exchanges between Hezbollah and Israel.
