#Libya, the VBIED (Car bomb) that exploded in Tripoli targeting Mr. Abdelmajeed Maligta (high level official in the Dabaiba administration) is very dangerous and alarming. It points to the level of tension and violent escalation we will see given the divisions and political impasse. While we wish Mr. Maligta speedy recovery, we can only repeat our warning that the situation in Libya, all over Libya, is not sustainable. The status quo will only lead to a collapse giving the tension domestically, regionally and globally. Libya’s geopolitical importance and impact can’t withstand instability, division and interference. A unified, legitimate and internationally recognized government is a must. No elections without unified executive and no stability without it as well.
